Product Description:
Curv-O-Mark® products are world renowned for quality and consistency. Used in a wide range of industries, Curv-O-Mark tools are designed for long lasting durability. The Universal Level is a multi-purpose tool featuring a 360degree adjustable protractor dial bubble that ensures accurate leveling.
Uses:
• Setting a predetermined pitch of a string of pipe
• Setting the angle of laterals to a precise degree.
• Trueing vertical runs.
• Two-holing flanges
How the Universal Level works:
The Level has two cast-in 25pound magnets, which exert 50pound pull to securely hold the unit in place on any steel surface, including the underside of a pipe or beam. By providing hands free leveling, the Universal Level is a necessity for work in confined spaces. As the bubble is mounted on a protractor dial, the Level will still read accurately regardless of positioning.
• Dial Bubble Protractor ensures accurate centerline location.
• Cast-in table indicates rise per foot in both inches and meters.
• Cast in groove makes the level self-centering on the
• contour of the pipe.
If adjacent top or bottom holes cannot be used, two-holing can be achieved using side bold holes. In the instance shown on the left, the DSL dial is set at 90degrees and the flange is rotated until the bubble is centered.
Other Applications:
While the Universal Level was originally designed for pipefitting and metalwork applications, it is valuable tool for any craft requiring a level or a plumb bob. While one face of the Level is magnetic, both faces have deep, cast-in grooves that make the Level self-centering on the contour of the pipe. Because the magnets are cast in, they do not interfere with the use of the Level on nonmagnetic surfaces such as aluminum, copper, lumber, stone or other materials requiring leveling.
• For structural ironworkers, the powerful holding magnets afford hands-free leveling for complicated activities.
• Electricians use the Level in laying out and lining up heavy conduit.
• Using the handy conversion chart, carpenters use the level to lay out roof rafters.
